Save Barton Creek Association is looking for three new members to join our Board of Directors. These volunteer positions consist of one-year board service terms with potential for renewal after one year. We are very excited to have this opportunity to broaden our board culture and bring new voices to our organization. New board members will be working on programs and projects to protect the flora, fauna, and water quality of Barton Creek, Barton Springs, and the Edwards Aquifer.

Organization’s Mission Statement
Since 1979, Save Barton Creek Association has protected the flora, fauna, and water quality of Barton Creek, Barton Springs, and the Edwards Aquifer through our advocacy, education, and conservation programs.

Nonprofit experience, environmental leaders, scientists/researchers, education, management/leadership
What personal, financial contribution is expected of each board member?
We expect board members to give to the organization at a level that is meaningful to them.
Do you have a designated term for board service?
One-year term with the opportunity to renew.
What is the current schedule for your board meetings?
Second and fourth Monday of each month from 7-9PM. One meeting is for Board business and one meeting is open to the public, and is optional for board members.
How would you describe your board culture?
Close-knit, relaxed, passionate about advocacy and the environment.
Additional Board Expectations
We expect board members to participate in one committee, attend and volunteer at our annual event in November, and occasionally assist with fundraising and outreach.
